The News Television Summit 2014, titled 'Monetisation in Transformational Times' will be held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Sector 18 in Noida, on 28 October 2014.

The Indian TV news business has been in a bind for a while now.  High distribution costs and carriage fees, eyeball competition from digital and social media, government restrictions and minuscule distribution revenues from cable TV and DTH systems have made it a challenging proposition. To add to that more than 400 news channels battle to get a piece of a tiny Rs 2500 odd crore annual advertising expenditure nationally. The hyper competition amongst each other has made it difficult for the players in TV news to raise ad rates.

The News Television Summit, organised by Indian Television Dot Com, seeks to unite stakeholders in the News broadcasting, advertising and media agency, brand and ad services spaces to drive meaningful dialogue and facilitate practical solutions to generate more revenues from news content from various windows, platforms and streams, improve advertising yield while at the same time upping performance for each other.

To this end we, at Indian Television Dot Com are bringing together business, editorial and sales heads of the news television industry, ad and media agency practitioners and brand marketers to help facilitate our stated objective.
